Hartsfield arrested again, this time for Felony Terroristic Threat

On Tuesday, January 23rd, the Tyler County Sheriff's Department received a report of a threat that was posted on Instagram. Deputies obtained a copy of the video of a rap song that referenced killing several Tyler County residents with their names written on a dresser.

The "rapper" in the video was identified as 19-year-old Cameron 'Bowda' Hartsfield of Newton. If that name sounds familiar to you, it should. Cameron was previously arrested on April 27, 2023 in Woodville after an after party prom night shooting in Jasper. Hartsfield was out of jail on bond for shooting several minors at the party.

Deputies worked with the Tyler County District Attorneys Office and obtained a warrant for Hartsfield's arrest from Justice of the Peace Pct 1 Tina Self.

Tyler County Deputies traveled to Newton County and with the assistance of Newton County Sheriff's Department and the Newton Police Department, Hartsfield was arrested without incident.

Hartsfield appeared before Newton County Justice of the Peace Pct 3 Mike Greer and was transported to the Tyler County Jail, charged with Felony Terroristic Threat.
