Freak accident sent one to the hospital early Monday morning
A freak accident early Monday morning sent a 16-year-old to the hospital. The accident happened on RR 255, north of Jasper.
According to the Department of Public Safety report, at approximately 6:56 a.m., a 2014 Ford F-250 was traveling west, while a 2019 Ford F-250 was traveling east. The report stated that a tree fell across the roadway in front of them and was struck by both vehicles.
The driver of the 2014 Ford, identified as a 16-year-old male of Jasper, was transported to Christus Memorial Jasper with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the 2019 Ford, identified as 58-year-old Burtis Boles of Pollock was not injured.
