Evadale man arrested for firing multiple shots in his mother's residence, one of which was in her direction

Saturday night at 3:05 PM, Jasper County was dispatched to County Road 718 just off Reese Road in Buna regarding “shots fired”.
Prior to arriving at the home, Dispatch advised that the suspect had left his mother’s residence and gave the deputy a vehicle description. The deputy was able to locate the vehicle a short distance from the scene, conducted a traffic stop and detained the suspect.

A preliminary investigation was conducted and it was determined that the suspect fired multiple rounds in his mother’s residence, one of which was fired in the direction of his mother.
The suspect was identified as 38-year-old Henry Meza, of Evadale.
Meza was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm-Family Violence (F2) and Felon in Possession of a Firearm (F3). He also had a Felony warrant out of Jefferson County for DWI-3rd or more.
Meza is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
