Elizabeth Ann Hale of Roganville March 13, 1942 - Feb. 18, 2024

A Celebration of Elizabeth Ann Hale’s Life, age 81, of Roganville, Texas, will take place at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper, Texas on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Burial services will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Roganville, Texas.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024 at the church before service.

Elizabeth passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Rayburn Healthcare in Jasper, Texas.  She was a longtime Kirbyville resident.  Elizabeth was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School, participated on many committees and she loved her church family.  She was a retired teacher from Kirbyville ISD.  Elizabeth was an avid reader, enjoyed arts and crafts, shopping, cross-stitching, traveling and visiting with family and friends.  She loved her pets, Jumper, Blackie, Sunshine and the “three stooges” (chickens). 

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Bill Hale of Roganville, Texas; daughters, Lori Storey and husband Michael of Nederland, Texas, Sheri Buchanan and husband Jack of San Antonio, Texas and Margie Griffis and husband Vic of Houston, Texas; brothers, William Ramsey and wife Denice of Austin, Texas and Cecil Ramsey and wife Linda of Brookeland, Texas; grandchildren, Kelsie Elizabeth Buchanan, Katelyn Ann Munoz and husband Tyler, Jack David Buchanan, Ryan Michael Storey, Stephen Griffis and wife Michelle, Jason Griffis and wife Sara and  John Griffis and great-grandchildren, Mary Clare Munoz, Agnes Kate Munoz, Addyson Griffis, Simon Griffis, Myles Griffis, Bella Morales and Luke Griffis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eustace and Mary Ramsey and brother, John Ramsey.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
