Easter time brings lots of fun for kids, and for many, a realization of hope everlasting
It's been more than 2,000 years now since the violent death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Churches and families alike are celebrating this holy week with gatherings and celebrations all culminating in the blessed Resurrection Sunday church services faithful followers observe.
The Bible gives us hope in that if we would simply believe in Christ, we will partake with Him in the resurrection and have everlasting life! One such scripture is found in the 11th chapter of John.
In John 11:25-27 Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Such hope!
Children of all ages enjoy Easter egg hunts, and goodies. Many however also learn about our Lord Jesus Christ and His Resurrection this weekend. One such event was held Saturday and dozens of people came out in celebration.
Trout Creek Baptist Church distributed many thousands of plastic eggs containing candy and cash! Each child walked away with a mountain of goodies, and more importantly hope of an eternity with Him!
