Easter Sunday Forecast Plus a Look at the Next 7 Days

Easter Sunday morning looks good however, showers and storms may try to work into the area from the west due to an approaching cold front during the late afternoon hours.


Warm, humid, windy, dry weather is expected to persist through Saturday...


Tonight, lows will only be in the lower 70s with highs in the lower to middle 80s under partly sunny skies Saturday. Southerly winds may gust to 25 mph.


Easter Sunday, a 10% coverage of showers and mild temperatures are expected in the morning however, chances increase to a 40% coverage of showers and storms during the afternoon due to an approaching upper-level disturbances.


Numerous showers and thunderstorms are forecast Sunday night and Monday morning thanks to a stalling cold front.


Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to persist Tuesday through Friday thanks to a series of upper level disturbances, ample atmospheric moisture and an uncapped atmosphere which means that there will be sufficient instability.

Wednesday looks to have the highest chances due to a fairly strong upper-level disturbance.
