East End VFD had a pretty busy evening
According to a spokesperson, it all started at 5:20 PM Tuesday on County Road 278 where a tree had fallen across the road sparking a small fire in the woodline. Crews waited till JNEC confirmed the power was isolated before making the attack on the fire. "We want to say thank Jasper County Precinct 2 for responding with their heavy equipment to deal with the tree".
While handling that call at 5:52 PM East End VFD was called to assist Allegiance EMS with a landing zone on County Road 232 at the end of FM 1738. Upon arrival, EMS made the decision to transport the patient via ambulance.
