Early morning car fire extinguished before it could spread to RV

Sometime around 1:45 am early Tuesday morning, a call came through Jasper County dispatch of a car that was on fire. The vehicle, located at 2816 FM252 in Jasper, was sitting next to a camper that also started to smoke.

Jasper Volunteer Fire Department was able to put the fire out quickly, and prevent it from spreading to the camper.

The cause of the blaze is currently unknown.
