Donald Roy Procelle, Sr. Feb 6, 1948 - March 23, 2024
A Celebration of Donald Roy Procelle, Sr.’s Life, age 76, of Jasper, Texas, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Stinger & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Trout Creek Cemetery in the Trout Creek Community in Newton County, Texas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
Donald passed away on March 23, 2024 at Harbor Hospice surrounded by his loving family in Beaumont, Texas.
A native of Port Arthur, Texas and longtime Jasper resident, Donald was a United States Army Veteran, member of VFW Post # 638 and Legion Post # 78 and was a retired painter. He was an expert sharpshooter and gun enthusiast. He loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member of the Legion Riders. Donald loved his children and grandchildren and adored his little dog “Pete”.
Donald is survived by his daughters, Glendora “G.G.” Procelle Racy and husband Joe of Silsbee, Texas and Tina Procelle Tidwell and husband Ken of Kirbyville, Texas; step-daughter, Richelle Hooks of Austin, Texas; step-sons, Daemon Wilson and wife Jana of College Station, Texas and Eric Wilson of Kirbyville, Texas; sister, Margerite “Cookie” Carr and husband Richard of McCrory, Arkansas; grandchildren, Freddie Lisanti, Jarod Lisanti and wife Nevaeh, Kendra Tidwell, Rayleigh Silvey and husband Kenny G., Kenny Tidwell and Amber Tidwell and one great-grandchild on the way and two step-grandchildren, Devin Wilson and Kaelie Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ruby Procelle; wife, Kathy Procelle; son, Donald Procelle, Jr.; brother, Herbert Ray Procelle and sisters, Darrellyne Byrd and an infant sister.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
