Donald Ray Warden Sr October 25, 1944 - June 7, 2024

A Celebration of Donald Ray Warden Sr.’s Life, age 79, of Jasper, Texas will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, Texas with burial following at West Oaks Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the funeral home.

Donald passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Beaumont. He was a native of Hemphill and lifelong resident of Jasper, Texas. Donald was a deacon at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Jasper. He retired from the Texas Forest Service and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fox hunting, deer hunting and fishing. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with them.

Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Martha Warden of Jasper, Texas; son, Donald Ray Warden Jr and wife Mary of Kirbyville, Texas; daughter, Deanna Byrd and husband Joe of Jasper, Texas; sister, D’wanda White of Hemphill, Texas; eight grandchildren, Daelon Warden and wife Amanda, Collin Warden and wife Amber, Gidean Warden, Claira Bostick, Bella Bostick, Rylan Byrd, Braden Byrd and Marlie Byrd and two great-grandchildren, Calder Warden and Case Warden.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
