Disaster brings out the good in people

It never fails, disasters always bring the best out of people, and in Jasper County, it's pretty much a common occurrence. We are no stranger to natural disasters here, and it shows.

People are cutting trees, providing water for the workers, tarping strangers homes all over the area.

One local lady who is still without power herself, anonymously felt the Lord calling her to feed some of the people in need. She went to local shops and vendors in Jasper and simply told them what she was doing and the makings of a delicious jambalaya were donated along with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers! As she said, "God always provides!"

Earlier today, ETB Sharpshooter Judy Miller was traveling down 252 towards Jasper when she saw these local citizens doing what so many are known for, rolling up their sleeves to get the work done! There was a huge tree across the road and people of all ages got out there in this heat and cleared the path for others. That's just the way it is here.
