30-year-old Jordan Aaron Cormier
A Jasper County Grand Jury has indicted 30-year-old Jordan Aaron Cormier who was the owner of two dogs which viciously attacked Tamara Hartford, a mail carrier on March 19, 2024 on Cr 110-A in the Curtis Community.
Cormier was indicted on two counts of Attack by Dog Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
In the indictment, Cormier was said to be criminally negligent by having two large Pit Bull dogs in a small wire kennel in the yard.
Cormier was charged separately for each dog. His bond was set at $250,000 and $250,000 respectively. He remains in the Jasper County Jail.
As we reported back in March, Hartford was delivering a package at a residence when she was viciously attacked without provocation by both dogs.
At the time of the attack, Jasper County Deputy Daniel Coons happened to be in the neighborhood and heard the screams. Coons was able to shoot both dogs ending the attack, and saving Hartford's life.
Hartford was severely injured and listed in critical condition in a Houston hospital where she remained for an extended period of time. There she was subjected to numerous surgeries to repair the damage.
