Copy of Obituary of Ronald Hester Holt October 16, 1928 - March 7, 2025

Ronald Hester Holt, 96, of Hillister, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at his home in Hillister, Texas. A graduate of the old Beaumont High School, he retired from Gulf Oil Company as a computer programmer. An honorable discharged U.S. Navy veteran, he served during WWII.

A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at a later date.

Ronald was born October 16, 1928 to Sidney Earl and Dora Thorn Scott Holt in Beaumont, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Dora Holt; and wife of 64 years, Joanne Holt.

He is survived by his son, Sid Holt and wife Lynda of Call; granddaughter, Sheli Holt; great grandchildren, Caine Holt and wife Blanca, Alyssa Briyanna Holt Velarde and husband Ramon and Tyra Garza; and great-great grandson, Caine Vincent Holt, Jr.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
