Concerned citizen posts editorial in support of Jasper Mayor Anderson Land

Citizens of Jasper, TX who support Mayor Anderson Land, Jr., please consider coming to the City Council meeting, this MONDAY - SEPTEMBER 9, 2024 – 5:30p - City Hall (side door).

McCroskey: Agenda Item #14: Consider for approval – REMOVAL of Mayor Anderson Land Jr. from the following: Jasper Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, South East Texas Regional Planning Commission Executive Committee, and Sam Rayburn Municipal Power Agency Board of Directors.

As a citizen of the City of Jasper, we voted for Anderson Land to be our Mayor in May, 2023 and believe he is doing a wonderful job. We do NOT feel that it is the City Council right to remove him from any Board of Directors that he has been assigned.

He could use your support right now. The motives behind these attacks by City Council members mentioned above, are very alarming and all citizens of the City of Jasper should be concerned. There is a group of council and community members trying to take him down.

The citizens of Jasper need him to remain on certain Board of Directors and continue to run this City as Mayor. He is doing an awesome job.

Please, if you are able to attend, bring all of your friends, neighbors and family. Let's stand up for MAYOR LAND and fight back!

The meeting should last about an hour and we would love to see a full house of his supporters!
