Commercial box truck wrecked on Neches River Bridge on 190

At 4:37 am, Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on US Highway 190 West at the Neches River bridge at Dam B.

Arriving units found a commercial box truck with significant passenger side front end damage in the roadway on the bridge. The damaged vehicle was obstructing traffic.

The vehicle was occupied by the driver and a passenger. There were no injuries. The driver stated he had struck the guardrail.

Traffic was closed in both directions for approximately 1 hour as the accident was investigated by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office - TX and Texas Department of Public Safety - Southeast Texas Region. The vehicle was removed from the roadway by Jasper Xxon Towing And Recovery.

Assistance with traffic control was provided on the Tyler County side by the Dam B VFD.

BGVFD responded with Engine 11, Brush 11, and 4 firefighters.
