Coming soon: Recognition for County Historic Buildings
More than 50 structures in Jasper County have been selected in 2024 as historic properties. Eight properties from Kirbyville are among these. The Jasper County Historical Commission members researched historic properties as part of the Texas Historical Commission’s ongoing program to identify and protect local historic properties. The properties will be listed in their state database. Certificates will be presented to property owners by Mark Allen, County Judge, on Dec. 11 at 10:30 in the County Courtroom. Bronze plaques are available to owners for purchase and display.
This is the first year of this program, and it is expected to continue to identify other historic properties.
