City of Jasper boil water notice

City of Jasper Water Distribution Department is issuing a Boil Water Notice for the area of Highway 63 East from Highway 190 to Farm to Market Road 776 and surrounding areas that experienced low or no water pressure due to a valve replacement.

If you have had low pressure or no water, you must boil your water until further notice. Crews have replaced the broken valve and turned the water back on.

All customers experiencing low pressure or no water will need to boil water before consumption to ensure the destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes. Water for drinking, cooking, and ice-making should be boiled and cooled before consumption.

The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source. When it's no longer necessary to boil the water, water system officials will notify you.
