Buna woman arrested on Burglary charges

Buna, Tx- On Saturday, March 8th, the Jasper County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in Buna (Cougar Country) on County Road 616 regarding a Burglary.
Through the investigation, the deputy was able to positively identify the suspect as 50-year-old Joy Lynn Hand, of Buna.
A warrant was issued by Jasper County Judge Mark Allen charging Hand with Burglary of a Building which is a State Jail Felony. On March 26th, Hand was located at a residence in Pineland and taken into custody. She was then transported to the Jasper County Jail without incident.
Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard wants to remind the public that Hand is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
