Brookeland theft suspect arrested, dolly tracks led straight to suspect’s house

Brookeland, TX On April 22nd, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy served an arrest warrant on 22-year-old Robert Triola of Brookeland. After an investigation, it was discovered that Triola took a battery off of a piece of equipment located on County Road 222 in the early morning hours of April 22nd. The images of the suspect pulling a dolly loaded with the stolen equipment was captured on a game camera.

After arriving on the scene, the deputy followed the dolly tracks from the location of the theft to the suspect’s residence. The deputy obtained an arrest warrant issued by County Judge Mark Allen.


Triola was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle (MA) and transported to the Jasper County Jail. There was also some other stolen property recovered at the residence.

Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard wants the public to know that Triola is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.


Sheriff Chuck Havard and his staff are committed to combating criminal activity in Jasper County. Havard said, "I’m glad this individual was arrested and he’s in our jail. He made it really easy for us to catch him.
