Bobby Ray Comte December 22, 1938 - July 12, 2024 U.S. Veteran

Celebration of Bobby Ray Comte’s Life, Age 85, will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, Texas. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the funeral home.

Bobby passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Avalon Place in Kirbyville, Texas.

A native of Jasper, Texas, and longtime resident of Kirbyville, Texas, Bobby was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Jasper Newton Electric Coop after 38 years of service. He served in the US Army and Army Reserves, was a member of the Nathan Corley Masonic Lodge #294 and worked for Weaver Motors of Kirbyville transporting vehicles. Bobby enjoyed fishing, flying, wood crafting and building birdhouses. Bobby loved most of all spending time with family and friends.

Bobby is survived by daughters, Debbie Breaux and husband Mike of Lumberton, Texas, Sharon Kaine of Kirbyville, Texas and Stephanie Herrin and husband Todd of Kirbyville, Texas; grandchildren, Stacie Albrecht and husband Jeremy, Amy Bainbridge, Ashley McDonald, Brooke Cleveland and husband Clancy, Bret Herrin and wife Katelyn, and Steven Comte; five great grandchildren, Aspen Albrecht, Gavin Albrecht, Slade Albrecht, Chanlie Cleveland and Blakely Herrin.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Johnnie Comte; wife of over fifty years, Jo Evelyn Comte; son, Bobby Joe “Bucky” Comte and sister, Wanda Davis
