Blowout on Dump Truck caused a bit of excitement Saturday afternoon

The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash crash on Farm-to-Market Road 1004, near County Road 627.

Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Department was also called to the scene to control traffic.

At approximately 3:24 p.m., a Peterbilt Dump Truck was traveling westbound on FM 1004, when it’s left front tire ruptured causing the vehicle to leave the roadway, striking a tree in a private drive.

The driver was identified as Jared Lee, 41, of Kirbyville. He was not injured.
