Beech Grove VFD was up bright and early clearing trees from the roadway

Well that’s a cool way to start the morning……and I don’t mean cool in a “cool” way. I mean cool in a cold way 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶.

At 3:46am Tuesday morning, Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a tree down across both lanes of FM 1747 just north on CR 138. Arriving units found that multiple roadside trees had fallen with the large limb of one blocking both travel lanes.

We used a tractor owned by a BGVFD member to push the trees and debris from the roadway, hence the “cool” start to the morning. It was a brisk tractor ride. 🤣

All is well and the roadway is open.

BGVFD responded with Engine 11, 6 firefighters, and the Chief’s tractor.
