Beaumont man arrested for Jasper and Hardin County crimes

Jasper and Hardin County authorities have been looking for 38-year-old Johnny Raymond Johnson of Beaumont who had active warrants in both counties for Theft of Materials and Burglary. According to a Beaumont Police Department press release, he has been captured.
Beaumont Police were able to use new crime-fighting technology to locate the man and within three days he was located and arrested.
The equipment used to capture Johnson is a Real-Time Crime Center Database. Officers enter license plate information into the database and it tracks the plate.
The press release added that on Thursday, a Beaumont Police Officer received an alert that Johnson's car was in the area. The officer located Johnson and when he attempted to speak to him, Johnson ran away.
Johnson was finally located by enlisting the help from a Jefferson County Sheriff's Office helicopter to find him.
Johnson is currently in Jefferson County Jail.
