Barbay to be a 2025 inductee into the Texas HS Coach Hall of Fame

Newton Coach Curtis Barbay will be a 2025 inductee into the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor.

During his time, Coach Barbay had 317 wins as Head Coach of Newton. At the time of his death that was the 4th best number of wins in Texas High School football history.

The Newton Sports Page added, "Congratulations to the Barbay family on this recognition as well as all of Newton Nation. Purple Pride Never Dies!!"
