Auto Accident South of Kirbyville

Early this morning around 5:00 am, a log truck and a personal vehicle were involved in an accident. Exact detailed are unknown at this time, but the personal vehicle struck the rear jib pole of the logging trailer. This impact caused the vehicle to veer from the roadway coming to rest in an abandon residence adjacent to the roadway. The driver of the log truck was not injured and the extent of injuries to the personal driver was unkown. As of 6:00, both lanes of Hwy 96 South were open.
