Army Veteran makes walking sticks for needy Veterans
Clyde Jenkins, an Army Veteran from Bon Wier, has a new hobby . . making walking sticks and canes for needy Veterans.
From "yopine" to cypress, when he finds a likely candidate, he digs 'em up, trims 'em up, and shines 'em up to help out his brother and sister veterans who needed one and couldn't afford the $20-$50 they charge in the stores.
He calls it "just a hobby", but a lot of time and effort goes into finding and fixing the walking sticks. A labor of love from a crusty old warrior of yore.
