In loving memory of Allen Paul Simons, age 64, of Jasper, Texas, a celebration of his life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas, followed by burial at Friendship Cemetery in Roganville, Texas. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home.

Paul passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Texas. Born in Kansas, he became a cherished member of the Jasper community, known for being a jack of all trades and his captivating storytelling. Paul found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was hunting, fishing, or exploring new destinations. His passion for western movies, especially those featuring John Wayne, was infectious.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Joseph Simons and wife Lydia of Jasper, Texas, and Jacob Simons and wife Amanda of Buna, Texas, along with his daughter Gayle Simons and husband Jorge Gomez of San Antonio,Texas. He is also survived by his brother Kenneth Simons and wife Francis of Roganville, Texas, and five adoring grandchildren: Bradley Simons, Jackson Simons, Mia Gomez, Gabrielle Simons, and Elijah Gomez.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Viola Simons, his brothers Josh Simons, James Bussey, Grant Bussey, and Lee Bussey, and his sisters Betty McCrory and Barbara Crew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas TX 75380.

Services are entrusted to the compassionate care of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
