Alleged victim has filed charges regarding an assault in Jasper Tuesday

An alleged assault in Jasper has left minor injuries and the victim has since filed charges with the Jasper Police Department.

Jasper Police Chief Garrett Foster provided the affidavit which said, "On Tuesday, January 7, at approximately 3:13 pm, I, Sergeant Fowler responded to 325 Dennis Drive regarding a possible assault. While responding to this location, I was made aware that the actor of the alleged assault was no longer on scene. Officers spoke with the victim, who had visibly minor injuries. The victim wished to pursue charges for being assaulted. Information gathered for initial report. Case has been forwarded to CID for further investigation".
