A Jasper woman has been beaten to death. A presumed killer has been arrested

At around 5 a.m. this morning, Jasper Police were dispatched to Myrtis Village in Jasper.

Details are a bit sketchy now, but what is known is that the 24-year-old female victim, a resident of the apartment complex, has died and that the 23-year-old suspect from Livingston believed to be her boyfriend has been arrested. He is being held at the Jasper County Jail.

The man's information will be released once he has been formally arraigned.
