Windy weather to persist ahead of a stormy Saturday…
Tonight, windy south winds will persist and this will result in record warm low temperatures in the middle 70s.
Thursday, windy south winds will persist under mostly cloudy skies with highs in the middle 80s.
Little change is forecast Friday with windy south winds continuing with record warm low temperatures in the middle 70s and highs in the middle 80s under mostly cloudy skies.
Saturday looks windy with widespread, mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorm persisting through the evening hours. 1 to 2 inches of rainfall is expected. A slight 15% chance of severe weather is possible with isolated tornadoes and severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and hail. Lows will be record-setting warm – in the middle 70s with highs in the lower 80s in addition to windy south winds.
A significant cold front then drives through Southeast Texas Saturday evening which will be followed by below normal temperatures Sunday through at least Wednesday of next week.
Sunday morning, low temperatures will be in the lower to middle 50s with highs in the lower to middle 60s with decreasing cloudiness.
Lows in the lower to middle 40s are expected Monday and Tuesday with highs in the middle to upper 60s rising into the lower 70s with ample sunshine.
Another chilly morning is expected next Wednesday with lows in the middle to upper 40s followed by a warmer afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 70s.

After Saturday's stormy weather and cold frontal passage, below normal temperatures are anticipated early next week. Lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s are likely.
