4-H & FFA - New Requirements

ATTENTION: 2024 EXHIBITORS

NEW ELIBILITY REQUIREMENT & ELIGIBILITY REMINDERS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY & COMPLETELY

“4-H and FFA members must attend a minimum of three 4-H or FFA meetings prior to the Newton County Fair to be eligible to exhibit any project.” (part of Rule #3 under General Rules)

*4-H Leaders and FFA Advisors will be turning in a list of all members who made a minimum of 3 meetings between the start of the 2023-2024 school year and the 2024 Newton County Fair. If an exhibitor does not make a minimum of 3 meetings, they will NOT be allowed to show any project at the 2024 Newton County Fair. This includes the Ag Mech and Art contests.

Eligibility reminders:

You must be a PAID and registered/enrolled member of a Newton County 4-H club, Newton FFA, Deweyville FFA, or Burkeville FFA Chapter to be eligible to show any project at the Newton County Fair. This includes the Ag Mech and Art contests. Dues and Registration/Enrollment MUST be paid and approved by the THURSDAY before your respective Tag-In/Validation. THERE WILL BE NO ENROLLING ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE OR SATURDAY OF TAG-IN/VALIDATION.

October Tag-In/Validation Registration/Enrollment Deadline: Thursday, October 19th

December Tag-In/Validation Registration/Enrollment Deadline: Thursday, December 7th

** ALL 4-H REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT! Please visit http://texas.4honline.com to enroll for the current year. Please contact the Newton County Extension Office at 409-379-4831 if you have problems enrolling on the website.

** FFA exhibitors need to get with their FFA advisors about their requirements to become a current year FFA Chapter member.
