Kirbyville VFD names Mike Swan Firefighter of the Year

The Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Department held their annual banquet Sunday night. As usual, those in attendance were treated to a wonderful meal provided by the ladies of the Gateway Tabernacle Church South of Kirbyville.

Kirbyville Fire Chief Greg Ellis and Deputy Chief Kennon Ellis made the announcements and worked together to hand out the awards.

Todd Singleton honored for 20 years of Service to the Department

The guest speaker for the event was Jim Love known as the voice of KLVI and Training Captain for the Evadale Fire Department

Jasper Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Larry Pulliman spoke to the group
