16-year-old boy hydroplaned/wrecked a vehicle he was driving and was transferred to Jasper Memorial
The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 96, north of Farm-to-Market Road 1004, that occurred today, November 30.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 12:45 p.m., a Chrysler 300 passenger car was traveling south. It is reported that the driver was traveling at a speed which was unsafe during a period of inclement weather and hydroplaned into the west ditch.
The driver, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
